The following message was given in Dubuque, IA, in March 2001 by Brother Cecil duCille.
Beloved of God and Called According to His Purposes,
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together; For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:17-18
It is really a matter of perspective. What I mean is, the place from which you are viewing something will determine what it is that you will think about it and what you will do concerning it and where it is that you will wind up at the end of the day because of it. It is not a matter of whether we believe in the reality of Eternity; it is a matter of whether or not we see Eternity, not as a destiny, but rather as a nature, a state of being…

Excerpt:
Romans 8:18, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
One of the first things that you and I have to have, one of the criteria, one of the essential elements is that we have to know what the objective is. But it is not just knowing what the objective is; we have to believe it. We have to believe that this objective is the reality of what we are seeking after, what we are pressing for. If you are just coming to church to get into heaven, or to be good, or to fulfill the obligation of Christianity that is upon you, that position of knowledge, that position of experience will not be enough in the time-frames we are coming into and the things we are going to have to contend with. It will not hold you steadfast, it will not hold you steady, it will not bring you to the expected end that God has for us. It says in Proverbs that without a vision you perish. And so, there is a necessity for your and I to have a vision in the aspect of the calling and the election that is upon our lives.
